Martial Arts Mentorship Program: Application Process & Waitlist Details

Our martial arts program operates on a mentorship model and is capped at 30 students. My student capacity is almost always full, however, students may still apply, and if approved are placed on a waitlist if my program is full.

In order to apply, you must complete an application for the interested student. This could mean for yourself, or your son/daughter.

How it works:

  1. Download the Application Intention Form & Waiver, return to us by email.

  2. Applications are reviewed, and we let each candidate interested know about the status of their application. This means the student will be either put on the waiting list, or we will ask a series of follow-up questions that will help us understand and clarify some of the information in your application. If your application is filled out incorrectly or incompletely, we will ask you to revise and resubmit.

  3. Approved students on the waitlist will be given the opportunity to join the program if they are first in the waitlist line for a specific age group with an opening, AND they have paid in full for their tuition for the year. Those on the waitlist who cannot be reached in 1 week will forfeit their spot to the next student in line.

  4. Feel free to reach out to check your waitlist status. As my existing student body ages, spots will open in the children's class as they age into the youth program. The same can be said as youth move toward adulthood.

  5. Applications are declined for any students or families interested in the following

    • Martial arts for sport/competition

    • Showing an interest or propensity to engage in only the physical aspect of training

    • A lack of interest in any of the mentorship aspects of the service offering.

    • Blatant disrespectful commentary or remarks on the application

The intention of this application process is not to screen out interested students but find the families and students who seek my guidance and mentorship specifically. There are plenty of options for families looking for large group or services outside the scope of my teaching interest and/or capacity. Our staff is happy to refer you to those schools if they suit your interest better.

Thank you for your interest in our martial arts mentorship program.
